On 25 April we were privileged to once again host a very successful fund raising concert at All Saints Church by Folks in Harmony, an a capella choir, and the Barnacles, their sea shanty group.

Our former president has sadly lost his battle against illness. Mike was our President from 1993 until January of this year. Mike was also the chairman of the Denmead Parish Council for many years and a former Lord Mayor of Winchester.
"A Service Honouring the Life of Michaeal Read" will take place at All Saints Church at 2pm 22 May followed by tea and cakes at the community centre. All are welcome. The family have nominated 2 charities in lieu of flowers: Rowans hospice and the Scout hut.
The dates are set. The ferry is booked. 29 people will be travelling to Denmead from Saint Georges for what promises to be another fantastic weekend of fun, friendship and entente cordiale.
